Teddy bears have long been a popular play thing for children, but what about entertaining kids with actual bears? Thanks to a new initiative at Canada’s Cochrane Polar Bear Habitat, kids will be able to swim and play alongside real life polar bears, protected behind 10 inches of plexiglass. The new programme lets kids get up close and personal with the bears while learning about the species. The Cochrane Polar Bear Habitat is the only facility in the world solely dedicated to polar bears.
